Kolano & Saha Engineers, Inc. was founded in 1986 by Richard A. Kolano P.E., and Pranab Saha Ph.D., P.E., who together merged their years of experience in the field of acoustics, noise and vibration control into one consulting firm. Rick and Pranab formed the firm based on the philosophy that skilled analysis, along with creative and well-engineered designs can virtually eliminate most noise and vibration problems.
Since then, the firm has steadily grown, adding staff including board certified noise control engineers and licensed professional engineers to become a leading independent, private-practice professional engineering and consulting firm specializing in acoustics, noise and vibration. In 1989, the firm moved to Waterford, MI incorporating both the engineering offices and the K&S Acoustics Laboratory into one building.
Starting in 2024, Kolano and Saha Engineers, Inc. closed its acoustics laboratory and has transitioned its consulting work to K&S Engineers, LLC. Darren Brown P.E., who has been with K&S since 1999, now heads the company along with the support of Rick and Pranab. Together, they are focusing their insights and combined experience of over 100 years to provide quality acoustics through exceptional service.
